The Boujdour Municipal Council expressed its deep appreciation for United Nations Resolution 2797, in which the Security Council adopted the autonomy plan as the only realistic solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
The council affirmed that the resolution marks the culmination of the successful diplomatic path led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, reflecting wisdom and foresight in reinforcing the Moroccan identity of the Sahara and promoting comprehensive and sustainable development in the southern regions.
The council extended its warmest congratulations to His Majesty the King on this diplomatic achievement, praising the growing international support for the Moroccan initiative and reiterating its commitment to stand united behind the King in defending the kingdom’s territorial integrity.
The Council pointed out that the city of Boujdour will remain a national stronghold and a symbol of loyalty to the homeland and the King, while continuing to enhance the path of local development and construction.
