Strong Winds and Thunderous Rain Showers Expected Today, Wednesday, and Tomorrow, Thursday

The General Directorate of Meteorology has reported that strong winds are expected locally, along with sandstorms and thunderous rain showers accompanied by gusty winds, today, Wednesday, and tomorrow, Thursday, in several regions of the Kingdom.

The Directorate, in an orange alert bulletin, indicated that strong wind gusts (ranging from 70 to 90 km/h) are anticipated, affecting the provinces of Boulemane, Khenifra, Taourirt, Jerada, Figuig, Oujda Angad, Berkane, Nador, Midelt, and Sefrou, starting from today at 3 PM until tomorrow at 11 PM.

The source added that strong wind gusts (ranging from 70 to 85 km/h) are also expected in the provinces of El Hassan, Jeddah, Safi, Sidi Bennour, Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Essaouira, Mohammedia, Marrakech, Casablanca, Mediouna, Nouaceur, Rabat, Sale, Temara, Skhirat, Ben Slimane, Berrechid, Settat, Khouribga, and Khemisset, from tomorrow, Thursday, starting at 6 AM until 11 PM.

The General Directorate of Meteorology also anticipates thunderous rain showers, accompanied by local gusty winds (ranging from 25 to 50 mm) in the provinces of Taroudant, Agadir Ida-Outanane, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, and Essaouira, starting today at 9 PM until tomorrow at 9 PM.
