The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading today, Thursday, with a positive performance, as its main index “MASI” recorded an increase of 0.86 percent, settling at 18,828.69 points.
The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, gained 1.14 percent, reaching 1,535.74 points.
Additionally, the MASI.ESG index, which represents companies with the best ratings, grew by 1.24 percent, stabilizing at 1,278.87 points.
On the other hand, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which tracks the prices of small and medium-sized listed companies, fell by 0.23 percent to 1,824.71 points.
In terms of individual stocks, the most significant gains were seen from “Taqa Morocco” (up 5.22 percent / 2,420 dirhams), “Cosumar” (up 2.89 percent / 209.90 dirhams), “Feni Proust” (up 2.73 percent / 441.80 dirhams), “SNI” (up 2.64 percent / 545 dirhams), and “Transport” (up 2.61 percent / 58.49 dirhams).
Conversely, the biggest declines were noted for “Auto Hall” (down 3.44 percent / 92.60 dirhams), “Hitech Payment System” (down 2.84 percent / 510 dirhams), “Med Paper” (down 2.55 percent / 28.25 dirhams), “Dissway” (down 2.22 percent / 880 dirhams), and “CMGP Group” (down 1.08 percent / 368 dirhams).
The “MASI” index had closed trading yesterday, Wednesday, with a gain of 0.24 percent.
