Rabat is preparing for the opening of the high-speed train station in Hay Riyad at the beginning of January 2026.
According to informed sources, the construction of the high-speed train station in the new Hay Riyad area of Rabat is in its final stages, following intense work completed in a record time of less than ten months. This has made the project one of the fastest railway infrastructure developments undertaken in the kingdom in recent years.
It is anticipated that the station will begin operations in early January 2026, a move expected to provide a quality service to transportation, particularly given its strategic location near the Moulay Abdellah Stadium, making it a convenient transit point for fans and participants in major sporting and cultural events.
The core idea of the project is to facilitate the movement of passengers to and from Rabat via various networks, whether through the “Al Boraq” trains, conventional trains, or urban transport networks between cities.
Once operational, the Hay Riyad station will join a series of high-speed stations in the region, further solidifying Rabat’s position as a central hub in the Moroccan rail transportation map.
