Mondelez Morocco has announced the launch of a limited edition of “Oreo” cookies in collaboration with global star Selena Gomez, a move that brings together a leading brand in the cookie world and a widely recognized music icon.
This edition follows its success in the United States and several other countries, marking Morocco’s inclusion in a select group of international markets embracing this unique collaboration.
The new version of “Oreo” features flavors inspired by the traditional Mexican drink horchata, made from rice, milk, and cinnamon, evoking Selena Gomez’s childhood memories. The flavor combines cinnamon and chocolate to deliver an innovative tasting experience tailored to Moroccan youth.
In her statement regarding this collaboration, Selena Gomez said:
“I had so much fun creating my own Oreo cookie. I’ve loved this cookie since my childhood, and being part of its creation feels like a beautiful full circle in my life. The cinnamon flavor reminds me of horchata, and I’m excited for my fans to discover this new flavor.”
This edition consists of two pieces flavored with chocolate and cinnamon, filled with a double cream that combines chocolate cinnamon cream and sweetened condensed milk cream blended with small pieces of cinnamon.
The uniqueness extends beyond the flavor; the cookie design also stands out, as each box contains six exclusive designs, one of which is specially made for Selena Gomez’s fans. For the first time in the brand’s history, the cookies will bear Selena Gomez’s signature in her handwriting, with one in every three boxes potentially containing this rare piece.
To enhance the enjoyable experience, the brand offers an innovative digital mechanism through a QR code on the box, allowing consumers to participate in a digital game and win exclusive prizes inspired by the world of Selena Gomez and the “Oreo” brand.
This limited edition is manufactured at Mondelez Morocco’s facility, which houses the largest production line for the “Oreo” brand in Africa, reflecting confidence in local industrial capabilities and Morocco’s growing position in international markets.
