Mohammed Mehdi Ben Saïd, the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, signed a strategic partnership agreement today with the Deposit and Management Fund and CDG Invest. The agreement aims to launch a program known as the “Gamification Lab,” marking a significant step toward fostering innovation and encouraging Moroccan talent in the electronic games industry.
This program serves as a national platform dedicated to supporting Moroccan startups that employ electronic gaming techniques and applications. Its purpose is to develop innovative solutions in fields such as education, health, culture, employment, and tourism. Simultaneously, the project seeks to create qualified and sustainable job opportunities and strengthen the economic fabric of startups, promoting a transition to an integrated digital economy.
The initiative is part of the strategy of the three parties aimed at establishing Morocco as a key player in the rapidly expanding global digital industry by promoting creativity among youth and activating entrepreneurship in the electronic gaming sector.
Minister Ben Saïd stated that the project will be implemented in phases, starting with identifying the actual needs of public and private stakeholders, followed by signing cooperation agreements, and then launching requests for expressions of interest from startups. Continuous technical and financial support will be provided to nurture national talent and enhance the competitiveness of the Moroccan digital industry.
Through this agreement, Morocco is making an ambitious bet on a youthful and creative pillar at the heart of the digital economy and in an industry that could become a real engine for growth and innovation.
