The city of Tangier hosted a distinguished ceremony for the National Security family on the evening of November 29, 2025. This event was organized in coordination with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works and the Tangier Security Prefecture, continuing the spirit of celebration established by the Director General of National Security and the Directorate for Territorial Monitoring since the central ceremony in Rabat in 2015. The annual gathering has reaffirmed the commitment towards National Security personnel, both active and retired, as well as their families.
The ceremony witnessed the attendance of retired security personnel and the children of police officers who excelled academically. Speeches were delivered by representatives of the Mohammed VI Foundation and the social services of the Tangier Security Prefecture, highlighting the humanitarian aspect of this initiative and its moral impact on families. During the meeting, students achieving the highest scores in the 2024/2025 baccalaureate exams were honored with financial grants and motivational certificates, including a university grant of fifty thousand dirhams awarded to a top student, distributed over five years to support her academic journey.
In a notable segment, a female officer from the Tangier Security Prefecture, who secured top positions in the Arab Cross Country Championship held in Iraq, was honored with a certificate of appreciation and a medal, recognizing her commendable athletic presence and encouraging her to continue raising the flag of the General Directorate of National Security in future competitions.
The General Directorate of National Security also paid special tribute to retired personnel, particularly those in their eighties, who received certificates of appreciation reflecting the institution’s loyalty and respect for their long professional careers. Additionally, the Security Prefect of Tangier undertook home visits to retired officers who were unable to attend due to health constraints.
The event concluded with artistic segments, including a comedic theatrical performance, before attendees gathered for commemorative photos and a tea party that fostered an atmosphere of warmth and pride within the National Security family.
