Continuation of Consultative Meetings to Prepare the New Generation of Local Development Programs in Morocco
Throughout November 2025, consultative meetings are taking place in various regions and provinces across Morocco, aimed at developing integrated local development programs. These meetings involve local elected officials, civil society actors, and representatives from the community.
In this context, a significant consultative meeting was held at the headquarters of the Taza Province, where local development indicators were presented along with the region’s key natural and economic resources. The discussion opened up about the fundamental needs of the local population, and interactive workshops were organized to address vital and strategic sectors such as health, social protection, national education, and public services, with the goal of forming a shared vision to enhance spatial equity and develop the region’s economic, social, and cultural infrastructure.
The organizers emphasized that these meetings serve as a reference framework for preparing a new generation of development programs, capable of adapting to economic, social, and technological transformations, learning from past experiences, and continuing the process of reforms in infrastructure and public services, in accordance with the wise guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Similar meetings have been organized in other provinces such as Khouribga, Kelaa des Sraghna, Casablanca, and many areas across Morocco, all within the same consultative framework to enhance community participation in establishing local development programs.
This initiative is part of the Moroccan government’s efforts to promote participatory governance and ensure that local development projects respond to the actual needs of the population in all regions of the kingdom.
