During his participation in the third National Industry Day held in Rabat, Anas Ansari, President of the Moroccan Association of Textile and Clothing Industries, affirmed that the Moroccan textile sector is experiencing a continuous positive dynamic and plays a strategic role in supporting the national economy and enhancing industrial employment.

Ansari explained that the exhibition was an opportunity to welcome the Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade to observe the diversity of Moroccan products that reflect the quality of national industry. He noted that the sector is working diligently to innovate and develop its production while promoting the “Made in Morocco” label as a mark of excellence and innovation.

The displayed products, according to Ansari, included a variety of ready-to-wear garments, professional and military attire, along with bags and leather products, showcasing the diversity of the offerings and the strength of the national industrial fabric.

On an economic level, the association’s president highlighted that the textile sector achieved a turnover of 63.7 billion dirhams in 2024, of which 75% was directed towards exports, underscoring Morocco’s position as a competitive supplier in international markets.

In terms of employment, the sector is one of the largest industrial employers in the kingdom, providing over 230,000 direct jobs, with approximately 67% occupied by women, reflecting the strong social dimension of the national industry.

Ansari emphasized that the goal is to continue enhancing job opportunities and expanding the production base, contributing to establishing Morocco as a leading regional industrial hub in the field of textiles and clothing.

The National Industry Day provided a chance to shed light on the vibrancy of the Moroccan textile sector, which combines competitiveness, innovation, and openness to global markets, reaffirming its commitment to promoting “Made in Morocco” as a symbol of trust and quality.
