A horrific collision between a truck and a car resulted in four fatalities and one serious injury on the Boujdour–Dakhla road on Friday, November 21, 2025.
According to official information from the regional delegate of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Boujdour, Mohammed Fadel Boujalal, the accident occurred approximately 120 kilometers from Boujdour heading toward Dakhla. The violent crash involved a large truck and a light vehicle, leading to the immediate death of four car passengers, while the truck driver sustained serious injuries that required hospitalization for necessary treatments.
Following the accident, local authorities, gendarmerie forces, and civil protection units rushed to the scene. An investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to uncover the circumstances of the incident and determine accountability in this accident, which has reignited calls for enhanced safety measures on national roads.
