Tragedy Strikes: 9 Dead and 6 Injured in a Horrific Road Accident in Sidi Kacem Province
Nine people lost their lives and six others sustained serious injuries on Saturday evening in a severe traffic accident that occurred on provincial road number 4042 near the Douar of the Cooperative Al-Houch 1 in the commune of Shabana, Zrirah district, Sidi Kacem province.
According to information received by local authorities, the accident was caused by a collision between a truck and a large vehicle carrying 15 people, including the driver.
Upon being notified of the incident, local authorities and elements of the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection swiftly arrived at the scene. The injured were transported to the regional hospital in Sidi Kacem for necessary medical treatment, while the bodies of the victims were placed in the morgue of the same hospital.
The Royal Gendarmerie has launched an investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
