Mohammed Abdennabaoui, the President of the Court of Cassation and the head of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, received Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Lami, the head of the Federal Integrity Commission of Iraq, today in Rabat. Al-Lami is visiting Morocco leading a high-level delegation.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of integrity, transparency, and anti-corruption, as well as to introduce the Moroccan judicial experience and the ongoing reforms within the justice system.
Abdennabaoui presented an overview of the key projects overseen by the Council, particularly concerning the modernization of judicial administration, the digitization of courts, the development of judicial training, and the establishment of ethical values within the judiciary.
For his part, Al-Lami discussed the legal and organizational framework of the Federal Integrity Commission in Iraq, its efforts in combating corruption, and promoting a culture of integrity, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and experience-sharing between the two countries in this domain.
The meeting was attended by the Iraqi Ambassador to Morocco, several officials from the Commission and the Iraqi Funds Recovery Fund, while the Moroccan side included the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, the Head of the Criminal Justice Department, and the Head of the Training and Cooperation Department.
