The Moroccan women’s national team for under 17 years has announced its final list of players ahead of the World Cup taking place in Morocco.
Coach Anwar Maghni revealed the squad, which comprises 21 players from various national and international clubs. Among them is Mayssa Bahaa, a Barcelona player who is the youngest participant in the tournament at just 14 years old. She is the daughter of Nabil Bahaa, the coach of the men’s under-17 national team.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation stated that the Women’s World Cup matches will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat and the Mohammed VI Academy in Salé. The Moroccan team will kick off the competition with a challenging match against Brazil next Friday at 8 PM.
In Group A, alongside Morocco, are Brazil, Italy, and Costa Rica, in a group deemed tough, but the national team harbors high ambitions for its first home appearance before its supporters.
