The Casablanca Stock Exchange began Wednesday’s session with a noticeable decline, as the benchmark MASI index dropped by approximately 1.10%, settling at 18,814.44 points. This trend continues the recent downward trajectory observed in the market.

This decline affected major listed companies, with the MASI.20 index, which includes the top 20 companies by market capitalization and liquidity, falling by 1.02% to reach 1,532.58 points.

Additionally, the MASI.ESG index, dedicated to companies committed to environmental, social, and governance standards, also faced pressure, decreasing by 1.52% to close at 1,284.58 points.

Meanwhile, the small and medium enterprises sector mirrored this trend, with the MASI Mid and Small Cap index losing 0.90% to reach 1,861.41 points, further confirming the comprehensive decline that characterized various market indicators.
