The Criminal Court at the Court of Appeals in Agadir issued a ruling on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, sentencing an individual to ten years in prison for charges of arson, vandalism, and assault against public security forces, based on the provisions of Articles 581 and 594 of the Moroccan Penal Code.

This ruling is part of the stringent efforts by judicial and security authorities to combat disorder and violence, and to confront anyone seeking to undermine public security or exploit protests for destructive purposes that threaten stability.

The public prosecutor’s office is expected to appeal the ruling in its commitment to ensuring the proper application of the law and to guarantee a proportional response between the punishment and the severity of the actions attributed to the accused.
