Tangier: Arrest of Individual Involved in Illegal Call Hacking and Diversion
On Thursday, October 2, police authorities in Tangier arrested a 45-year-old man suspected of being involved in tampering with digital data processing systems and phone call hacking.
The arrest took place in Tangier while the suspect was caught in the act of hacking national communication networks by using electronic equipment to convert international calls into local ones, thereby profiting from the difference in rates.
The operation led to a search of the suspect’s residence, where a significant number of phone chips and both wired and wireless electronic devices were confiscated, along with advanced computer equipment used in this criminal activity.
The arrested individual is currently under judicial investigation conducted by the competent public prosecutor’s office to uncover all the circumstances surrounding this case and to identify all criminal activities attributed to him, pending the completion of necessary legal procedures.
