Smurfit Westrock Supports Moroccan Agriculture with Sustainable Paper Packaging Solutions
Smurfit Westrock is contributing to the sustainable transformation of the Moroccan agricultural sector by providing advanced paper packaging solutions designed specifically to meet the needs of fruit and vegetable production and export chains in Morocco.
During its participation in the Fruit Attraction 2025 trade fair in Madrid, one of the leading global agricultural exhibitions, the company highlighted a range of packaging solutions that address the challenges facing the Moroccan sector, from logistical requirements and European sustainability standards to the goals of the national strategy, Generation Green.
Smurfit Westrock operates in Morocco through an advanced production site and a specialized experience center in Rabat, as well as multiple industrial units across various regions of the kingdom. The company offers 100% recyclable, renewable, and biodegradable packaging solutions, ensuring the protection of fresh products and complete traceability, as part of its Better Planet Packaging program, which supports the transition to circular value chains in agriculture.

Among the innovations presented by the company are AgroLife® to extend the shelf life of fruits and vegetables throughout the supply chain, AquaStop™, which is moisture-resistant and fully recyclable, and Goliath®, a lightweight solution suitable for handling and stacking, aligning with European market requirements and responding to the specifics of Moroccan agriculture.
