Rabat: Rachid Talbi El Alami Holds Discussions with Mauritanian Minister of Justice

Rachid Talbi El Alami, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, received Mauritania’s Minister of Justice, Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, on Monday in Rabat. The minister is on a working visit to Morocco from October 20 to 22 at the head of an official delegation.

The meeting was attended by Mauritania’s Ambassador to Morocco, Ahmed Ould Bahiya, and provided an opportunity to reaffirm the deep historical and spiritual ties between the two countries, as well as the strength of the existing cooperative relations in various fields.

During the discussions, both sides addressed significant major development projects currently taking place in Morocco, as well as African initiatives introduced by His Majesty King Mohammed VI aimed at strengthening South-South cooperation and supporting sustainable development efforts across the African continent.

The meeting also highlighted the quality of Moroccan-Mauritanian parliamentary relations, exemplified by the recent holding of the first session of the Moroccan-Mauritanian Parliamentary Economic Forum in Nouakchott, viewed as a key platform for promoting investment and enhancing economic integration between the two countries.

According to both parties, this forum represents a unique space for parliamentary dialogue and consultation, allowing for the exchange of experiences and enhancing coordination between the legislative institutions at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
