In his comments on this, the Russian president stated, “The Nobel Committee has awarded the Peace Prize more than once to those who have done nothing for peace.”
He added, “The decision by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee has severely damaged the prize’s reputation.”
He continued, saying, “Trump is sincerely committed to resolving the crisis in Ukraine and is working on peace issues in the Middle East; this is a clear example.”
The Russian president emphasized that “Trump is putting in significant effort to resolve complex and long-standing crises.”
Regarding the peace plan to end the war in Gaza, Putin remarked, “If we can complete what we started, it will be a historic event.”
