L’Oréal Morocco Receives International Certification for Gender Equality, Reinforcing its Leadership in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

L’Oréal Morocco has solidified its position as a leader in professional gender equality by obtaining the GEEIS certification (the European and international standard for gender equality). This prestigious certification is awarded to organizations that embody a genuine commitment to justice and inclusiveness in the workplace.

This recognition, which marks the culmination of a long journey of institutional commitment, acknowledges the efforts of L’Oréal Morocco’s teams in instilling values of diversity, equity, and inclusion as essential pillars of the company’s daily culture and as a driving force for innovation and sustainable success.

The GEEIS certification, developed by the Arborus Foundation, serves as a global benchmark for evaluating organizations’ performance in the field of professional equality and diversity, measuring the effectiveness of the adopted actions and their impact within the workplace. These criteria align fully with the principles and recommendations set forth by the United Nations Global Compact, making them a fundamental reference for companies striving to achieve gender balance.

The company’s statement highlighted that L’Oréal Morocco’s achievement of this certification further enhances the parent group’s global commitment to gender equality and the fight against all forms of discrimination, while also affirming the proactive vision of the company in Morocco to establish an inclusive corporate culture.

This international recognition also represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen employee engagement, attract talent, and establish a culture based on mutual respect and professional effectiveness.

L’Oréal Morocco places the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of its human resources strategy. Since joining in 2016 as a founding member of the Diversity Charter in Morocco, the company has been working to uphold values of respect and equality through hiring policies that ensure equal opportunities for all.

By 2025, the proportion of women within the company reached 59% of the total workforce and 63% of the talent pool, with women holding 56% of management positions. Analyses conducted in 2025 confirmed complete pay equity between women and men.

Additionally, L’Oréal Morocco showcases age diversity, with employees over 45 years old making up approximately 25% of the workforce, enhancing intergenerational integration within the company.

In terms of inclusion, the company is working to empower individuals with disabilities by reserving 5% of job positions for them, along with social partnerships aimed at promoting professional integration. Notably, the partnership with the “Anais” Association and AGL Logistics has successfully integrated individuals with intellectual disabilities into packaging activities, alongside environmental projects such as establishing a waste recycling workshop.

With this recognition, L’Oréal Morocco reaffirms its steadfast commitment to equality and diversity, establishing itself as a role model in promoting a responsible corporate culture based on respect, inclusiveness, and sustainable innovation.
