King Mohammed VI will preside over a religious ceremony in Rabat this evening, marking the 27th anniversary of the death of King Hassan II.
The Ministry of Royal Affairs, Protocol, and Chivalry announced that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and support him, will chair this ceremony at the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat on Thursday evening, in observance of the 27th anniversary of the passing of the late, revered King Hassan II.
The ministry stated that the religious event will be broadcast live on radio and television starting at 6 PM.
This annual occasion serves as a moment to reflect on the contributions of the late King Hassan II towards building modern Morocco and enhancing its standing among nations.
The official statement reads: “The Ministry of Royal Affairs, Protocol, and Chivalry announces that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and support him, will preside over the religious ceremony held at the Mohammed V Mausoleum in the city of Rabat, on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the death of the great King Hassan II, may God have mercy on him, on Thursday, the 9th of Rabi al-Thani, 1447 AH, corresponding to October 2, 2025. This religious ceremony will be broadcast live on radio and television starting at 6 PM today.”
