Energy Transition: Morocco and Poland Unite Their Efforts for a Sustainable Future

Morocco and Poland share a common ambition to make energy transition a strategic lever for bilateral cooperation. On Friday in Rabat, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, and the Polish Minister responsible for public assets, Wojciech Baltachun, held a meeting where they reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the partnership between Rabat and Warsaw in the fields of clean energy and sustainable development.

Both sides praised the robustness of the relations between the two countries and agreed to give a new impetus to energy cooperation, transitioning from a level of technical collaboration to a true structural partnership based on innovation, training, and energy security.

Following the meeting, the Polish minister stated that Poland is eager to share its expertise with Morocco in several strategic sectors, especially those related to energy transition, emphasizing the economic integration between the two nations.

For her part, Minister Benali confirmed the added value of Polish expertise, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to accelerating its transition towards a cleaner and more resilient energy mix. She added, “We aspire to work together to enhance energy security in our countries in a delicate global context.”

This meeting occurs within the dynamic framework of South-North cooperation between Morocco and its European partners, further reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a regional energy hub open to the future.
