The sixteenth edition of the Horse Show in El Jadida, which concluded yesterday, attracted more than 150,000 visitors, reaffirming its status as one of the most prominent equestrian events in Africa and the Arab world.
Organized under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the event blended passion with professionalism, reflecting Morocco’s deep connection to the art of horsemanship and its rich heritage.
Habib Merzaq, the exhibition commissioner, stated that this edition featured participation from around 50 countries and more than 700 riders and 1,100 horses, along with extensive media coverage involving over 600 journalists from various national and international outlets, highlighting the growing prominence of this annual appointment.
Merzaq noted that the success of this edition was due to the collaboration of various partners, supporters, and professionals who contributed to organizing a distinctive version in terms of attendance, content, and programming. He emphasized that the exhibition has become a reference platform for exchanging expertise and strengthening partnerships in the equestrian field, as well as a testing ground for advancing this sector at both national and international levels.
The event, organized by the Horse Show Association, featured a rich and diverse program that included scientific, cultural, and entertainment activities, showcasing various aspects of the authentic Moroccan heritage associated with the world of horses.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan presided over the award ceremony for the Grand Prize of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in show jumping, during the final stage of the Moroccan International Royal Tour (four-star category).
