Yahya Jibran clarifies: “I haven’t received any dues since 2019 and Wydad still owes me 980 million”

The former captain of Wydad Athletic Club, Yahya Jibran, made a powerful statement in response to what he described as attempts to tarnish his image in front of Wydad’s fans.

Jibran stated in his remarks: “I don’t know who is trying to distort my image in front of Wydad’s audience. Since 2019, I haven’t taken even a dirham from the club, and I’m still waiting for them to pay me 980 million. Despite this, I am being targeted today, and they are telling the audience that I am not a good person.”

The former captain emphasized that his relationship with the club has always been based on sacrifice and giving, noting that he chose to remain silent over the past years out of respect for the red audience, before he was compelled to speak up to clarify the facts after what he considered “deliberate attempts to undermine his reputation.”

With this statement, Jibran has opened a sensitive file, shedding light once again on the issue of financial dues within Moroccan clubs, and the tensions it creates between players and their administrations.
