On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Region, welcomed General William Agbagbon, Chief of Defence Staff of Ghana, at the headquarters of the Royal Armed Forces in Rabat. This meeting was held in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces. The visit is part of General Agbagbon’s working trip to Morocco from September 28 to October 3, 2025.
During the meeting, the Ghanaian Chief of Defence Staff praised King Mohammed VI’s visit to Accra in 2017, which laid the foundations for strong cooperation between the two countries. He affirmed that Morocco and Ghana share common values based on peace, African solidarity, and mutual respect.
The meeting, attended by the Ghanaian Ambassador in Rabat, was an opportunity to express mutual satisfaction regarding the distinguished level of bilateral relations and a chance to strengthen military cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and the Ghanaian Armed Forces. Both sides agreed to expand areas of cooperation and explore new prospects for partnership in service of mutual interests.
