The Governor of Kenitra Launches the Lighting Project for the Entrance of Sidi Taybi, with a Cost of 12 Million Dirhams

The governor of the Kenitra region, Abdelhamid Mazid, along with Saïd Harouza, the head of the Sidi Taybi municipality, officially inaugurated the lighting project at the entrance of Sidi Taybi on National Route 1 this morning, with a budget of approximately 12 million dirhams.

Attending the event were members of the municipal council and local figures, who were briefed on various aspects of the project, including a detailed presentation on the scheduled phases. A model of the high-quality electric poles to be used in the lighting was also showcased, ensuring better quality and greater sustainability.

The project manager provided technical explanations to the governor, covering the details of the works that will span nearly 8 kilometers. The project will be executed in two phases: the first will utilize solar energy for lighting, while the second will rely on traditional electrical lighting.

According to the provided data, the construction works are expected to take around 8 months. Once completed, the project is anticipated to enhance traffic safety conditions, beautify the main entrance of Sidi Taybi, as well as facilitate traffic flow and improve travel conditions.

Local authorities and residents have expressed their satisfaction with the project’s launch, considering it a practical response to long-standing expectations and an important step towards enhancing infrastructure and improving the quality of life in the area.
