Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, confirmed on the sidelines of the Auto Expo that Morocco is undergoing a significant transformation in the automotive market, driven by increasing demand for sustainable vehicles. He indicated that the national industry is gradually establishing its position in this promising sector.
During his visit to the exhibition, the minister highlighted the comprehensive range of hybrid and electric vehicles available in the Moroccan market, with over thirty brands showcasing more than eighty high-quality models for the public.
Mezzour explained that the Moroccan industry is progressively affirming its presence in this field by producing hybrid and electric vehicles, emphasizing the dynamism of the national automotive sector.
He noted that the demand for this type of sustainable vehicle is continuously rising, not only globally but also in Morocco, where both individuals and companies are increasingly leaning towards such options. The exhibition saw a strong turnout from the public, with a variety of offerings capable of meeting local market needs.
The minister concluded by noting that this trend aligns with the strategy for a sustainable mobility transition, in accordance with the royal directives aimed at enhancing the Kingdom’s industrial and energy sovereignty.
