Morocco Achieves the Sole Arab and African Victory in the Youth World Cup Opener
The first round of the Youth World Cup witnessed tough results for Arab and African teams, as all suffered defeats, except for the Moroccan national team, which marked an ideal start.
Egypt’s team lost to Japan 2-0, while South Africa fell to France with a score of 2-1, and Nigeria was defeated by Norway 1-0.
In contrast, Morocco’s youngsters wrote a bright chapter for Arab and African football by clinching a valuable victory against the strong Spanish team with a clean score of 2-0, making them the only team from the region to begin their journey with a perfect record.
This victory boosted Morocco’s hopes of advancing to the later stages of the tournament and proved once again the capability of Moroccan talents to compete against the world’s strongest football schools.
