His Majesty King Mohammed VI appointed General Abdallah Boutrigue as Director General of the General Directorate for Information Systems Security (DGSSI), as announced by the directorate on its official website this Monday morning.
The statement clarified that this decision is part of bolstering Morocco’s efforts in the field of cybersecurity and ensuring the protection of the national digital space, viewed as a strategic bet in the transition to a digital economy.
General Abdallah Boutrigue is recognized for his military and engineering expertise, having graduated from the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA) and the Royal Military Academy in Meknes, class of 1987. He holds a diploma in the Higher Defense Course and a master’s degree in security and defense from the Royal College of Higher Military Studies.
Throughout his career, General Boutrigue has held several leadership positions, notably as Director of Assistance, Training, Supervision, and Expertise at the General Directorate for Information Systems Security, and as Deputy Inspector of Communications at the Royal Armed Forces.
