The Director General of National Security and the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, Abdelatif Hammouchi, is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates since Tuesday, September 23, accompanied by a high-level security delegation, as part of efforts to strengthen the security partnership and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
A statement from the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance mentioned that Hammouchi held a working session with the Director of the UAE State Security Agency, Talal Rashid Al Zaabi, in the presence of senior Emirati officials, where they discussed security issues of common interest.
The discussions focused on challenges related to international and regional contexts, particularly the risks of terrorism and extremism in areas of tension, with special emphasis on the Sahel region. They also addressed ways to enhance operational cooperation to combat terrorism and transnational organized crime through activating channels for joint security operations.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to emphasize the importance of exchanging experiences and best practices between the two countries, expanding areas of bilateral coordination, particularly in the exchange of security information to ensure a proactive and robust response to various threats.
