A fire broke out on Saturday evening in a residential apartment at the Yans residence in the province of Kenitra, resulting in a young man suffering from severe suffocation.
Local sources indicated that firefighters were able to rescue the victim after significant efforts, as he was pulled from inside the apartment and rushed to Zamouri Hospital.
Despite urgent medical intervention and the use of resuscitation equipment, the young man lost his life at the hospital due to complications from suffocation.
Authorities have opened an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the fire.
