Moroccan customs authorities thwart an attempt to smuggle smartphones from Spain.

Reports indicate that Moroccan customs officials successfully disrupted an attempt to smuggle a number of “iPhone 17 Pro” and “Pro Max” devices into the country.

The reports detail that customs officers at the Port of Tangier Med intercepted two truck drivers attempting to bring in several smuggled smartphones from Spain. Data suggests that one individual had instructed each driver to smuggle 10 units of Apple’s latest models.

According to the same reports, the 20 phones were successfully seized, with each device valued at approximately 22,000 dirhams. This significant amount prompted the smugglers to take risks, but their attempt ultimately failed.
