“Casa Guira”: A New Comedy Film Hits Moroccan Cinemas
Moroccan audiences are set to welcome the new film “Casa Guira” starting September 17, 2025. This cinematic experience blends comedy, suspense, and action scenes within an authentic Moroccan production aiming to entertain audiences across various cities.
The film is produced by Redone and directed by actor Omar Lotfi, following the great success of the film L’Batal. It promises a comedic adventure filled with intriguing plots and energetic action sequences.
The storyline revolves around Ismail, who leaves prison after serving twelve years for gold theft. He finds himself, along with his childhood friend Nassim, in a comedic chase to discover a missing treasure chest after the only person who knew its location dies, bearing a tattoo of a treasure map on his back.
The adventure takes viewers through the streets of Casablanca, peppered with comedic and chaotic moments, including unexpected funerals, hospitals, fake doctors, weddings, and a series of accidents, transforming the story into an exciting survival game filled with betrayal and revelations.
The film features a notable cast of prominent Moroccan actors, including Omar Lotfi, Anas Baz, Karima Ghith, Rashid Rafiq, Elias El Maliki, and Mahdi Chahab. Directed by Omar Lotfi, with a screenplay by Mahdi Chahab, and produced by Redone Films, its runtime is approximately 105 minutes, and it is in Moroccan Darija.
