A dispute over 100 dirhams ended in murder inside a restaurant in Sidi Allal al-Bahraoui
On Tuesday, the Sidi Allal al-Bahraoui community in the Khémisset province witnessed a murder that shocked the local public after a minor disagreement over a sum of money, not exceeding 100 dirhams, escalated into a bloody altercation inside a well-known restaurant in the area, referred to as “Al-Village.”
According to available data, the victim was having lunch with friends when he noticed an error in the amount of change given back to him by the restaurant staff. This prompted him to return and demand a correction of the amount, requesting to review the surveillance camera footage.
The discussion quickly escalated from verbal exchanges to a physical confrontation, after which the staff member used a knife he had on him and delivered a fatal stab to the victim’s neck, causing him to collapse lifeless amid the shock of those present.
Security services rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, while the victim’s body was transported to the morgue at the provincial hospital.
