The National Professional Football League has extended the summer transfer window until August 25, according to the regulations in place for transfers.
This decision came after a meeting of the league’s board of directors, which was held yesterday and discussed several points related to the new sports season.
Additionally, the league has postponed the start of the national championship in both divisions for the 2025-2026 season to September 12, instead of the previously set date of August 22.
In an official statement, the league explained that this postponement was due to the participation of many players from the league’s clubs in the African Nations Championship (CHAN), ensuring a principle of equal opportunity among the clubs and enabling them to benefit from their full roster in fair competitive conditions.
The league previously set the summer transfer period between July 1 and August 15 before deciding to extend it, providing clubs with additional time to finalize their contracts in preparation for the upcoming season.
