A statement from the Kremlin said: “President Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.”

The statement continued: “During the phone conversation, the Russian president informed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman about the key outcomes of his recent communications with U.S. President Donald Trump.”

The statement added: “Current issues regarding Russian-Saudi cooperation in the political, commercial, economic, and investment fields were discussed. Both sides expressed high appreciation for their joint work within the OPEC+ framework to ensure the stability of the global energy market.”

At the initiative of the American president, a phone conversation took place yesterday evening between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, lasting about 40 minutes. During this call, Trump updated Putin on the results of his discussions with the ousted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders.

Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Russian president, stated that the two presidents expressed their support for the continuation of direct negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations and agreed to maintain close contact regarding Ukraine and other urgent issues on the international and bilateral agenda.

Ushakov added: “The Russian president once again emphasized the importance of the efforts made by Donald Trump personally to find solutions that lead to a long-term settlement in Ukraine.”

He also mentioned that Putin and Trump discussed “the necessity of considering the possibility of elevating the level of representatives from both the Ukrainian and Russian sides, specifically those involved in the aforementioned direct negotiations.”

On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump hosted Volodymyr Zelensky and leaders of European Union countries at the White House. Trump stated that he did not rule out the possibility of a subsequent tripartite meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelensky if the negotiations were successful.
