Morocco’s National Team Ramps Up Preparations for Kenya Clash in CHAN

The Moroccan national team for local players is intensifying its preparations in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, gearing up for a tough encounter against Kenya, the host of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), as part of the second round of Group A matches.
A spirited and disciplined atmosphere pervades the “Atlas Lions” camp following a crucial victory in the opening match against Angola. The coaching staff, led by coach Tarik Skitwi, is fully focused on improving performance and enhancing physical and tactical readiness, which was the focus of today’s training session held at the “Sacco Poles” Stadium in Nairobi.
In statements to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation’s channel, player Khalid Ait Wrkhan expressed optimism about the team’s ability to continue shining, stating, “Winning the first match was important psychologically, and it will help us enter the next game with greater confidence. We are ready for the Kenya match and hope to achieve a positive result.”
Defender Anas Mehraoui confirmed that the ideal start against Angola served as an additional incentive to maintain positive results, explaining: “We are now working on correcting the mistakes we made, and we aim to improve our technical and tactical levels to present ourselves in the best form against Kenya.”
The much-anticipated match against the Kenyan national team is set to take place next Sunday at the “Kasarani” Stadium in Nairobi, starting at 15:00 local time (13:00 Moroccan time).
The Moroccan national team currently leads Group A with 3 points, ahead of Kenya on goal difference, making the upcoming clash a crucial showdown in the battle for the top spot.
