Final data released by Eurostat on Wednesday shows that inflation in the Eurozone remains unchanged at the European Central Bank’s target of 2% in July.

The harmonized index of consumer prices rose by 2% year-on-year in July, matching the same increase recorded in June. This rate aligns with the estimate published on August 1.

Inflation, excluding energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco prices, also remained stable in July at 2.3%, as expected.

Among major categories, the prices of food, alcohol, and tobacco grew faster by 3.3%, compared to an increase of 3.1% previously. The growth in industrial goods prices, excluding energy, rose to 0.8% from 0.5%.

Meanwhile, energy prices fell by 2.4% following a previous decline of 2.6%, while inflation in services dropped to 3.2% from 3.3%.
