Starting September 1, 2025, fuel prices in Morocco will witness new reductions. It is expected that the price of diesel will decrease by approximately 30 centimes per liter, while gasoline will see a drop of 16 centimes per liter, according to industry sources from the National Federation of Fuel Retailers and Distributors.
Professionals affirm that they do not set the prices but merely apply them following announcements from distribution companies during their bi-monthly updates. This comes after a period of relative price stability since July, following limited increases that sparked debates regarding the rising cost of fuel.
On the international front, oil prices fell last Friday amid concerns over slowing demand in the United States, with Brent crude at $68.12 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate at $64.01. The market is anticipating the OPEC+ meeting next week, which may increase pressures on prices due to a rise in global supply.
