In a new step reflecting the improvement of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Colombia, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, welcomed Arturo Forero Sierra, the newly appointed Ambassador of Colombia to Morocco, in Rabat on Friday, August 29. Forero presented his credentials to His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
This reception comes after the Colombian Senate approved a motion affirming the country’s support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and its sovereignty over the Sahara, and renewing the rejection by the legitimate representatives of the Colombian people of the previous government’s decision to establish relations with the separatist front.
The meeting between the minister and the ambassador emphasized the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries and opened new avenues for cooperation in political, economic, and diplomatic fields.
This occasion reflects Morocco’s continued efforts to gain broad international support for its national cause, confirming the success of its diplomatic efforts in protecting its territorial integrity and enhancing its position on the international stage.
