Morocco Welcomes 11.6 Million Tourists by the End of July 2025

By the end of July 2025, Morocco recorded the arrival of 11.6 million tourists, achieving a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity.

The statement from the ministry confirmed that this growth reflects a sustained momentum in the tourism sector, noting that 52% of the arrivals are Moroccans residing abroad, highlighting the significant role of the Moroccan community in supporting the industry.

The positive dynamics continued in July, with the number of incoming tourists reaching 2.7 million, representing an increase of 6% compared to July 2024. This growth was recorded among both foreign tourists and Moroccans living abroad, indicating Morocco’s ongoing appeal as a preferred tourist destination.

The number of foreign tourists in July was 875,000, showing a 2% annual increase, while the number of Moroccans living abroad reached 1.8 million, marking a 7% rise compared to the same month last year.

Fattah Azzaour, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity, stated in the announcement that Morocco is not only a destination for exploration but also a close-to-heart place for millions of tourists worldwide. She emphasized that the sector continues to grow thanks to domestic tourism, the Moroccan diaspora, and foreign visitors.

The statement concluded that this positive dynamism comes in a context characterized by continuous attentiveness to tourists’ aspirations and ongoing efforts to enhance the travel experience, in line with the objectives of the 2023-2026 tourism roadmap.
