Morocco Strengthens Its Tourist Position: 11.6 Million Visitors in Seven Months

The tourism sector in Morocco recorded a remarkable performance during the first seven months of 2025, with tourism revenues reaching nearly 67 billion dirhams, marking a 13% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity reported in an official statement that the sector continues its upward momentum, supported by an influx of tourists and improved tourism services. According to the same data, Morocco welcomed 11.6 million tourists by the end of July, representing a 16% growth compared to 2024.

This increase in revenues translates to a financial boost of 7.5 billion dirhams, clearly reflecting the positive impact of tourism on the national economy.

The month of July saw exceptional performance, with 13 billion dirhams in tourism revenues alone, a significant increase of 26% compared to July of the previous year.

Commenting on these figures, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity, Fatima Zahra Ammor, stated that “this growth in tourism revenues reflects the significant impact of the sector on the national economy,” adding that “the rise in tourist numbers and investments in tourism products solidifies Morocco’s position as a high-value destination.” She affirmed that efforts will continue to maintain this dynamism.

It appears that Morocco, thanks to its tourism strategies and diverse cultural and natural offerings, is on track to solidify its status as one of the leading tourist destinations in the region.
