Kénitra is set to host the largest show of fantasía in its first festival edition
Kénitra is preparing to welcome the inaugural edition of its cultural and artistic festival, which will feature musical evenings, sports events, and cultural seminars, with a focus on showcasing the authentic cultural heritage of the region.
Among the highlights will be the fantasía events taking place from August 22 to 24 in the Bouled Oujda area. The display, known as fantasía, combines courage, art, and collective discipline, featuring more than 40 groups. During this event, horsemen will don traditional attire and carry historical rifles, creating a visual spectacle that embodies the essence of Moroccan heritage and its vibrant spirit.
The organization of these events is overseen, in partnership with the Kénitra Festival Association, by the Federation of Equestrian Associations and Horse Breeding, led by Mohamed El Filali El Qasri, who has made significant efforts to coordinate the participating teams and prepare the performance venue. This year’s edition is expected to be the largest in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, making it an important cultural stop for both residents and visitors alike.
The event offers a chance to explore Moroccan heritage up close and reaffirms the city’s role in preserving traditional arts while re-engaging the public in a comprehensive artistic and sporting experience.
