Essaouira Hosts “Beach Cinema”

The city of Essaouira is preparing to host the second edition of the “Beach Cinema” festival on August 29 and 30, organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication (Communication Sector). The festival aims to bring the seventh art closer to the audience through free screenings in outdoor venues.

Cinema enthusiasts will have the chance to enjoy a number of modern Moroccan productions, including the film “Atoman” by director Anwar Maatassim, “L’Batal” by Omar Lotfi, and the science fiction film “404.01” by Younes Rkhab.

The program also includes a screening of the film “The Green March” by Youssef Britel, which documents a historic national event involving 350,000 Moroccans who participated in reclaiming the southern regions.

This festival is part of the ministry’s policy to integrate cinema into local cultural life and to enhance its role as a bridge for communication between art and the public.
