National Observatory Calls for Global Classification of Polisario as a Terrorist Organization
The Sahara issue is witnessing rapid developments on both regional and international fronts, amid increasing warnings regarding security risks associated with the Polisario Front. Various parties accuse the group of engaging in activities that threaten stability and pose a danger to collective security. In this context, Express TV has received a copy of a statement issued by the National Observatory for Strategic Studies, which calls on countries worldwide to classify the Polisario as a terrorist organization.
The statement confirmed the Front’s involvement in systematic attacks against civilians, its participation in weapon and drug trafficking networks, as well as the recruitment of children and coordination with terrorist organizations in the Sahel region.
The Observatory also praised a recent initiative within the U.S. Congress concerning a bill to classify the Polisario as a terrorist organization, considering it a constructive step aligned with international efforts to combat terrorism. It urges countries around the world to adopt similar initiatives and legislate laws to criminalize the activities of this movement and cut off its sources of support.
The Observatory emphasized that protecting international peace and security requires practical measures consistent with international community commitments, which enhance regional and global stability.
