Fifty children from Jerusalem arrive in Casablanca to participate in the 16th edition of the summer camp “Harat Al-Magharba,” organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Ash-Sharif Agency under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee.
Tomorrow, the summer school kicks off, bringing together children from Morocco and Palestine with the theme “Let’s Make Video Games a Tool for Education, Learning, and Entertainment.” The workshops will be led by experts specializing in digital education, artificial intelligence, and responsible entertainment, featuring practical applications and interactive activities aimed at teaching children how to use video games positively.
The camp will run from August 10 to 26 with support from the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication. It combines entertainment with educational trips and artistic and sports competitions where children from Jerusalem will compete against their Moroccan peers. Activities will include visits to several Moroccan cities such as Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Tetouan, M’diq, and Chefchaouen, aiming to explore the historical landmarks and major economic projects in the kingdom, especially in infrastructure, roads, and sports facilities.
During their stay in Morocco, the children from Jerusalem will participate in national celebrations of joyous occasions through artistic performances that include the Moroccan national anthem and the song “Nidaa Al-Hassan,” in addition to dance showcases inspired by Palestinian heritage, particularly the popular “Dabke” dances that highlight the deep cultural connection between the two parties.
