Wydad Club Members Mobilize to Activate Governance and Demand a Legal General Assembly
In a move that reflects increasing awareness among the members of Wydad Athletic Club, several members have announced an online consultative meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 7 PM, to discuss the organizational and legal status of the club and explore ways to activate governance and transparency mechanisms.
According to a statement issued by the members, this meeting aims to embody “the spirit of responsibility placed upon them as active members of the Wydad system, and to ensure compliance with the laws and internal regulations governing the club’s operation.”
The meeting will commence with a framing presentation by a lawyer or a representative, intending to provide an in-depth legal perspective on the topic of holding a general assembly, while shedding light on the options and procedures available for members to advocate for adherence to legal deadlines.
Furthermore, a significant portion of this meeting will be dedicated to discussing possible scenarios to expedite the convening of the general assembly, viewing it as a critical juncture for reorganizing internal structures and correcting management trajectories within the club.
This initiative comes amid escalating tensions between several members and the club management, following the postponement of the annual general assembly, raising questions about compliance with established legal and management standards within national sports clubs.
