The Moroccan Exporters Association has highlighted Morocco’s growing openness to Africa and its readiness for global economic transformations. During its ordinary general assembly held in Casablanca, attended by members, partners, and public institutions’ representatives, the association reported a notable increase in initiatives related to the African Continental Free Trade Area in 2025. It reaffirmed its commitment to solidify Morocco’s position as a strategic continental platform for exports by encouraging regional integration and facilitating access to funding through diverse partnerships.

The association has modernized the “E-xport Morocco” platform to transform it into a centralized information hub for exports, developing strategic market monitoring tools for African markets and accelerating the digitization of foreign trade.

Participants praised the board’s commitment and the trust of members, noting the association’s evolving role as a catalyst for a more competitive, innovative, and sustainable Moroccan export system. The association’s president, Hassan Senetiti Idrissi, emphasized that Africa is no longer a dividing line but has become a natural extension of Morocco, calling for it to be a lever for joint growth.

The 2024 literary report indicated that the association faced a year of transformations marked by geopolitical challenges, price fluctuations, and increasing sustainability demands, prompting it to intensify support for Moroccan exporters through a blended approach of innovation, resilience, and adaptability.

The association’s strategy for the upcoming phase focuses on three priorities: enhancing the international presence of exporters through business missions and promising markets, strengthening capacities through training and seminars on global regulatory standards, and preparing for significant transformations, particularly green transition and artificial intelligence.

In the context of new environmental and digital challenges, the association has established itself as a player in economic diplomacy by raising awareness about new European mechanisms such as carbon border adjustments and environmental, social, and governance requirements. This reflects its commitment to supporting Moroccan exporters in overcoming obstacles and transitioning to a sustainable and advanced export model.
