The African Union of Democratic Youth has reiterated its full support for Morocco’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, affirming its endorsement of the autonomy initiative as a realistic and credible solution under United Nations oversight.
This position was outlined in the final statement issued by the continental conference of the union, recently held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, with the participation of youth delegations from across the continent.
The union reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to politically and economically empowering African youth, defending democracy and freedoms, advocating for climate justice and digital transformation, and promoting values of solidarity and integration among the continent’s countries. The conference was deemed successful on various levels, particularly in terms of organization and interaction, under the theme “Democratizing Africa in the Age of Social Media and Artificial Intelligence – A Youth Agenda from the Center-Right Stream.”
The conference featured organized sessions and multilingual workshops addressing topics such as artificial intelligence, governance, elections, and climate and social justice, alongside cultural activities and field visits that fostered a unifying spirit among participating youth. This continental event served as a significant platform for renewing leadership and expanding discussions on the critical issues impacting the future of youth in Africa.
