Tangier Med and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University Launch AI Program for Industry

Tangier Med Group and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University have launched the “AI Tanger Med” program, marking a new step in their partnership aimed at linking technological innovation to real-world challenges in the industrial sector.

This program builds on the collaboration that began in 2021 with the establishment of the 1337 MED campus in Martil, an alternative educational space that employs a unique learning methodology without lectures or traditional professors. It hosts around 400 students who are trained through a project-based approach emphasizing autonomy and teamwork.

The new initiative aims to mobilize students from the university’s AI laboratory to develop technical solutions that meet the real needs of businesses within Tangier Med’s economic ecosystem. Areas of intervention include artificial intelligence, automation, cybersecurity, and data analysis, addressing logistical, port, and industrial challenges.

This vision is driven by a dual objective: on one hand, Tangier Med seeks to unite the efforts of its partners to find practical, swift solutions tailored to their field needs; on the other, it provides students with an advanced professional experience that connects theoretical training with practical application.

The project is part of a national dynamic enhancing manufacturing and promoting logistical efficiency and the digitization of production processes. It aims to integrate local technological skills to benefit the national economy.

Through this collaboration, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University aspires to train hybrid competencies that combine a precise understanding of industrial professions with the ability to provide appropriate technological solutions. In return, Tangier Med reaffirms its role as a driver of innovation in logistical and port sectors.
